Tfs 2018 Vs. Devops 2019
With the release of Visual Studio 2019, we announced that it will be the last version of Visual Studio that contains the Coded UI test functionality. I wanted to give a little bit more context on the decision and answer some of the common questions we’ve been getting on this.
Analytics is the new reporting platform for both Team Foundation Server (TFS) and Azure DevOps.
Analytics will be available with TFS 2019 RC1, which should be available later this year.
We are looking for TFS customers who are planning to install RC1 when its released and would be willing to participate in a test program for Analytics.
Analytics will be available to everyone installing TFS 2019 RC1. However, customers participating in the test program will get free support from the product team, until we ship TFS 2019 RTW.
In exchange, we are asking test participants to do the following:
- We would strongly prefer you to deploy in a production environment
- Send us SQL performance and capacity data so we can understand Analytics resource consumption. We will provide scripts to export this data to a text file.
The test program is limited. We may not be able to accept everyone wanting to participate.
If you are interested in participating, please fill out this brief 2-minute survey:

Tfs Vs Devops
What versions of TFS does Visual Studio 2019 work with? At work we're still on TFS 2015. I'm concerned that might be too old to work with VS 2019.

Visual Studio 2019 works with Azure DevOps Server 2019, TFS 2017, TFS 2015, TFS 2013, TFS 2012 and TFS 2010 SP1.

I assume it works with TFS 2018 as well, even it is not mentioned in the article.
