Toggling WiFi ON

First Make Sure WiFi is on, some times you may accidentally press the physical button to switch off WiFi or some program may have disabled it. First If possible on other computer Visit problematic laptops / Device manufacturer website and download the latest available Network adapter driver and save it. Now open Device manager by press Win + R, type devmgmt.msc and hit enter key. Then expend Network adapters, and right click on it select update driver, select option search automatically for updated driver software and fallow on screen instructions to update and install latest driver version.

Re-Install WiFi Adapter Driver

Also to re-install network adapter driver simply on device manager expend network adapter, right click on installed WiFi adapter driver and select uninstall. Then Restart windows on next start windows install the basic WiFi Driver if did’t install then click on Action, scan for hardware changes to install the same.

Now again right click on installed driver select update driver, then on next screen select browse my computer for driver. Now select the driver path which you downloaded from Device manufacturer website and fallow on screen instructions to install the latest driver. After that Restart windows to take effect the changes.

Run Windows Network Diagnostics Troubleshooter

After perform above steps now run the Network Diagnostics Troubleshooter Tool. And let windows to fix The other Problems which may prevent WiFi connection an Cause Wireless capability is turned off error.

To do this open Settings > Network & Internet > Status and click on the Network Troubleshooter link.

Method 1:

First, I would suggest you to run in-built network adapter troubleshooter and check if that helps. Follow the steps below to run network adapter troubleshooter.

  1. Press Windows + X and then click on Control panel.
  2. Select Troubleshooting and in the left pane select View all.
  3. Now select Network Adapter and follow the on screen instruction.

Make sure you have updated the latest version of Network Drivers from the manufacturer’s website.

Steps to go to Device Manager:

  1. Press Windows Key + X and click on Device Manager.

  2. Search for Network Adapter and expand it.

  3. Right click on the Display Adapter and select Uninstall.

Method 2:

If the issue persists, run the following command in command Prompt (Admin). Follow the steps below to do so.

  1. Press Windows Key + X.
  2. Click on Command prompt (Admin).
  3. Type the following commands, and hit Enter after each command:
    netsh int tcp set heuristics disabled
    netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=disabled
    netsh int tcp set global rss=enabled
    Then type the following and hit Enter, to verify that practically all the settings are disabled.
    netsh int tcp show global

These two methods did not help. I tried them both and Windows 10 still continues to turn off my WiFi. I also unchecked the box that allows the computer to turn off the WiFi adapter and that did not help either. Do you have any other things that I can do to solve this problem? I spend half the time on my computer reconnecting to my WiFi!
